About the Practice
Dr. Hill's Family Dental is a brand new general and family practice opening in Orion Township in September 2026. Here's who we are, and why we built it the way we did.
Meet Your Dentist
Dr. Hill grew up in Troy, Michigan. He served as a captain in the U.S. Army and deployed to Kuwait before building his career in dentistry, and he trained in implant dentistry through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
He calls himself a tooth mechanic. What he means is that he would rather tell you plainly what is going on, what needs fixing now, what can wait, and what it will cost, than sell you something you did not come in for.
He chose this corner of Orion Township on purpose. It is steps from the park, near the soccer fields, down the road from two elementary schools. This is not a market he picked. It is home.
Why We Built It This Way
Most families do not put off the dentist because they stopped caring. They put it off because there is no one to watch the kids, the only opening is three weeks out at two in the afternoon, and the whole thing feels like a project before it even starts.
So we built the practice around that. On-site childcare led by Kristin Hill, a Michigan certified teacher, reserved when you book. Appointments that do not stack you behind four other people. A space that feels like somewhere you would actually sit down.
We are new here, and we have room on the schedule. In a town where the good practices are booked out months in advance, that is a real thing to offer.
Your Experience
Nobody should have to tough out a cleaning. Everything on our comfort menu is available at any appointment, for any patient, at no charge. You do not need a reason and you do not need to explain yourself. Ask, and it is yours.
Nitrous oxide is available at any appointment for $30. Tell us when you book, or tell us when you sit down. Either works.
What We Stand For
Three things we decided on before we ever picked out a chair.
Our on-site childcare is run by Kristin Hill, a Michigan certified teacher, and it is reserved when you book your appointment. Your kids get real attention while you are in the chair. No other practice in the area offers it.
We tell you what is going on in real words. What you need, what can wait, and what it will cost before we start. No upsell, no jargon, no pressure.
Tooth pain does not wait, and neither should a cleaning you have already rescheduled twice. We keep room for emergencies and we answer the phone.
Introducing Mom Days
We know who usually books the family's dental appointments. So we set aside dedicated event days for the moms who do it all, where your care, your comfort, and your time are the only things on the schedule.
A dental visit that doubles as a day you actually look forward to.
Mom Days happen a few times a year, and they are their own event. Professional services on-site, childcare and crafts handled by a Michigan certified teacher, and zero rush. Ask us about the next date when you book.
